TU Delft is a leading university with broad experience in all computational aspects of nuclear reactor design, neutronics, fluid dynamics and fuel depletion studies. Its facilities include a nuclear laboratory with license to work with uranium and thorium as well as corrosion and electrochemical laboratory facilities and a fully equipped metallography laboratory.
Within MIMOSA, TU Delft will provide experience in bubbly flows and flotation of solid particles (in SAMOSAFER framework) and designing/running experimental facilities for flotation processes as well as expertise in molten salts nuclear materials chemistry and chemical thermodynamics, including both experimental studies and thermodynamic modelling assessments. TU Delft leads WP2 (‘Molten salt properties’).
